IRIS Network Controller
GiaX innovative product-line, IRIS, provides broadband service providers with a means to re-use the in-building and to the building coaxial networks when deploying Fiber to the curb or Fiber to the MDU. It provides for significant OPEX and CAPEX savings whilst executing on symmetrical services well beyond the 1 Gbps. IRIS can operate with existing services and does not interfere.
IRIS allows the existing coaxial network to be used for high bandwidth symmetrical services. IRIS is based on the MoCA AccessTM standard and provides 2.5 Gbps downstream and 2.5 Gbps upstream in a segment of maximum 31 subscribers. It can utilize the spectrum between 400 MHz and 900 MHz but can also be deployed in a mode leaving legacy services in place by operating in the 1175MHz to 1675 MHz spectrum, it uses OFDM as modulation and is able to use up to 1024QAM. MoCA Access is a solution targeted to Service provider networks and MDUs but has many more use cases.
The Giax IRIS product line offers both the IRIS Network controller and IRIS modem, it has unique differentiating capabilities such as for example QoS, CoS, MEF OAM. IRIS services can be provisioned with the GiaX Service Enabling Tool (SET), deployed on or off premise, but it will also work transparently within existing provisioning processes due to the support of DOCSIS Provisioning over PON. IRIS also offers enhanced monitoring and trending capabilities through the use of an advanced GUI.
The IRIS Network Controllers offers multiple port configurations, from 1 port to 24 RF ports, allowing cost efficient deployment for small and large MDUs. IRIS Network Controllers come with 2 or 4 10G Ethernet backhaul options. Next to the indoor formfactor Network Controller for MDU deployments it also offers an environmental hardened Network Controller for outdoor use.
Giax Telescope enables fast, scalable MoCA access over existing coax by seamlessly converting PON fiber to point-to-point MoCA inside MDUs.
In many buildings, PON fibers already reach the MDU on a per-subscriber basis. Telescope leverages this architecture by terminating individual PON fibers and extending each connection over the existing coax infrastructure using dedicated MoCA links. The result is one fiber per apartment, one private coax connection per subscriber—without rewiring the building.
With Telescope, operators can reuse in-building coax, reduce deployment cost and time, and deliver fiber-grade performance to every apartment with a clean, point-to-point architecture designed for scale.

IRISTM Telescope Modular 14 Port P2P
The Telescope Network Controller is 19” rack-mountable and uniquely enables fast, scalable MoCA access over existing coax by seamlessly converting PON fiber into point-to-point MoCA inside the MDU.
Telescope is ideally suited for MDU environments where fiber operators want to extend their PON deployments without in-building rewiring. By leveraging the optical splitter already present in the MDU, Telescope creates a transparent extension of the PON network, delivering fiber-grade services to individual apartments over the existing coax infrastructure.
